Connect-i integrates Guard-i's electronic guard tour control with any monitoring central station. This accessory enables the back up personnel at the central station to do an on-line follow up of the patrol officer's activities. In case the guard fails to complete his rounds, the monitoring central station is promptly notified and immediate action may be taken.

Connect-i works by using one or two zones on an larm panel, and it will contact the monitoring central station just as a PIR sensor would. These zones refer to "correctly performed rounds" and "faulty rounds". The guard uses Guard-i to check all the points in his round and "confirms" a successfully completed round by touching Connect-i with his Guard-i, thus activating the corresponding zone. In most cases only zone on the panel is used, for the notification of faulty rounds.
